We’ve studied the language of Pictograms. 1972 Olympic games in Munich, Germany were mentioned for the use of international language of images. They introduced the sports pictograms, so anybody can understand them.

The task was to make 3 business cards in monochrome colour scheme and without any images. I made them black and white.
The task is to make 2 photos of one domestic subject:
Only one object and absolutely no photoshop.
Typography is all about readability and legibility. While working as a webdesigner, I’ve studied much about this: When your customer asks you to put red Comic Sans MS letters on black background, you need to prove your words with some theoretical studies.
I always fight for using simple readable fonts, black letters on white background.
Many people don’t feel the borders of readability and non-readability, so that is the reason why we see so many examples of awful and ureadable ads.
Today we presented our work in CTS Class. All presentations were looking exactly the same, except Simone’s, who made very cool and enjoyeable video.

Today, we have visited CIty Hall. Speaking about me, it was the first time I came inside. What was nice, that when we came in, one lady invited us to take part in public listening of General London Assembly meeting.
Making photos inside was prohibited, here are ones from outside…
Peter divided our class to groups, we formed the group of five: two Natashas, Leanne, Raimond and I. We’ve got the task to visit and to describe London’s City Hall – the meeting place of General London Authority, consisting of the London Assembly and the Mayor of London.
So, the next week’s Tuesday morning class should be spent on venue.
I am from Russia and never seen a university’s computer room full of Macs. Moreover, here, in LCC, I didn’t even seen a student with a laptop different from macbook.
Just one-hour induction and all of us got the task – to make a blog. So, everything after this post is real-time!..
