Ross Phillips

The guest lecture that stands out from anything else. This guy is thinking differently, goes beyond the borders, breaks expectations.

95% of people in advertising industry think by posters. Their brains are framed in the size of a poster:

  • Billboards are posters
  • Street ads are posters
  • TV ads are talking & moving posters
  • Newspaper ads are posters embedded into pages
  • Radio ads are when somebody reads the text from poster
  • …and finally, posters are posters!

This guy is beyond. In our era of technology there is nothing you cannot create. And he creates true interaction between people and brands, between people and art projects, between people and his ideas.

He was asked a question, if advertising agencies are interested in his work. He answered, – no, they are not, – they don’t understand it, and it is a pity. It is obvious that Interaction helps to engage people, they are more likely to remember and, what is even more important, to understand the message, when they are engaged.

“Tell me – and I’ll forget; Show me – and I may remember; Involve me – and I’ll understand” – Chinese proverb.

rossphillips.me – How you can see, people are really happy to interact.

Damien Poullain’s Ello

Ello, said Damien!.. He’d showcased us his portfolio, which is not bad. I remember one called Alpha Bêtes, which you need to smoke to produce:

Enjoyed his creative work. Finishing this post with full-of-truth words from his poster: “Be nice to nerds, chances are you’ll end up working for one”.

Transmedia Storytelling & Bar

Does anybody understand my scottish accent? Everything began when Steve Spence took his first pint.

So, he began telling transmedia stories for us… bmwfilms.com…. collapsus.com…. Lost A3…. Mercedes Benz…. its when the same story told from different angles through different mediums….

The most transmedia person ever is Stephen Fry – hi’s everywhere!..

Bruno’s first guest lecture

First guest lecture with Bruno Ceschel, who had just arrived from some conference in New York. He has a huge experience of working in various creative teams:

  • Colors Magazine
  • Self Publish Be Happy
  • Motherland Book Editorial board

While making Self Publish Be Happy Magazine, they’ve got an idea not to ask people to make smth, but to send them smth that already made. The result: they’ve got about 4000 photos from people.

Speaking about me, I really enjoyed the photos from Motherland Book – the photos of deep parts of Russia.

Some photos made just after the lecture:
